Commitment to Education
Roll International strongly believes in the value of education providing support for existing programming and establishing new educational opportunities.
The children of Roll International employees in the San Joaquin Valley are provided scholarship opportunities designed to encourage educational achievement and college attendance. To date, the program has awarded more than $2.2 million in scholarships to 450 students.
To ensure the children of families employed by its agricultural companies are ready for school, the company opened the Paramount Child Development Center in partnership with Children’s Creative Learning Centers. The school’s state-of-the-art building is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified using CHPS (Collaborative for High Performing Schools) guidelines.
Roll International has opened the Paramount Bard Academy which will serve students in the sixth through 12th grades of Kern County, California. The Paramount Bard Academy is a collaborative effort by the Resnick Foundation, Paramount Agricultural Companies, the Bard College Masters of Arts Teaching Program and the community of Delano, California. The Paramount Bard Academy is committed to graduating students with a minimum of 30 hours of college credit, prepared to advance to college and complete post-secondary degrees. A primary goal of the Academy is to graduate no less than 95% of all students with the expectation that 75% or more of these students will go on to graduate from college.
